Our Story
From constructing Hyderabad's earliest pools in 1989 to pioneering India's first 4″ × 4″ underwater light in 1991 — a journey of over three decades, 30,000+ installations, and landmark projects from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Pioneer of Underwater Lighting in India
Olympia Pools began its journey in late 1989 with the construction of its first swimming pool in Hyderabad. By 1991, we had ventured into manufacturing underwater and landscape lighting — developing India's first 4" × 4" underwater light, a product that set a new benchmark for architects, designers, and builders across the country.
Built using marine-grade SS316L stainless steel, our IP68-rated fixtures are engineered without sealants — making them fully serviceable, long-lasting, and backed by a 5-year IP68 performance guarantee. CE and RoHS certified, they meet the highest international quality and environmental standards.
From Hyderabad to Heritage Sites Across India
By 1995–96, Olympia had made a strategic entry into the hospitality sector — beginning with ITC Kakatiya Hotel, Hyderabad, and going on to serve ITC and Taj properties nationwide. Philips partnered with us for the Son et Lumière at the Cellular Jail, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, which opened doors to landmark heritage projects including the Red Fort, Somnath Temple, Amber Fort, Chittorgarh, and Gwalior Fort.
Today, our lighting solutions illuminate over 30,000 pools and landscape projects across India, while Olympia Pools has completed more than 1,200 swimming pools and water bodies — with around 350 projects currently under execution. We partner with global leaders Fluidra (Spain), Pentair, and HornerXpress (USA) for the finest pool technology and equipment.
A LegacyEtched in Light
Olympia Pools — The Beginning

Olympia Pools commenced its journey in late 1989 with the construction of its first swimming pool, followed by several other pools and water features. In its formative years, the company benefited greatly from the guidance of Architect Sekar James of Master Plan, under whose direction multiple prestigious projects were executed. Architect Sudhir Reddy, one of Hyderabad's leading architects, was also instrumental in entrusting Olympia Pools with a number of domestic, resort, commercial pools, and water body projects.
India's First 4″ × 4″ Underwater Light

Olympia commenced manufacturing underwater and landscape lighting systems in 1991. During this period, the company developed and introduced India's first 4" × 4" underwater light — a product that was widely appreciated by architects, designers, and builders for its innovation and practicality. Within a short span of two to three years, OLYMPIA lighting products gained significant traction and were extensively used in swimming pool projects across South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Entry into the Hospitality Sector

Between 1995 and 1996, Olympia made a strategic entry into the hospitality sector. The first major project was the ITC Kakatiya Hotel, Hyderabad, followed by ITC Sonar Bangla (Kolkata), ITC Maratha Sheraton (Mumbai), and ITC Mughal (Agra). OLYMPIA lighting became a preferred choice across multiple ITC and Taj properties for underwater and landscape lighting applications.
Taj Exotica, Philips & Landmark Heritage Projects

In 1996, Olympia's products were approved for the Taj Exotica Resort, South Goa. Around the same period, Philips selected Olympia lighting systems for the Son et Lumière project at the historic Cellular Jail in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This collaboration led to adoption in several landmark Philips projects — including the Red Fort, Chandragiri Fort (Andhra Pradesh), and Somnath Temple.
Sound & Light Shows Across India

Integrated Digital Systems Pvt. Ltd. (IDSPL), a Delhi-based company founded by Mr. Mukesh Bhargava along with former Philips lighting professionals, extensively used OLYMPIA lighting systems for sound and light shows across India. Notable projects include Amber Fort, Chittorgarh Fort, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Udaipur Lake Palace, Udaipur City Palace, Madurai Palace, Orchha Fort, Gwalior Fort, and Jantar Mantar, among others.
Prestigious Pools & Hospitality Projects

Olympia Pools developed strong expertise in hotel projects and went on to execute pools and water features for leading hospitality brands — including the Indian School of Business, Secunderabad Club, Novotel HICC Convention Centre, Viceroy Hotel (now JW Marriott), Trident, Kohinoor ITC, Park Hyatt Hyderabad, Four Seasons Bangalore, and Taj in Goa. The company also had the privilege of executing projects for Dr. Satish Reddy (Dr. Reddy's Laboratories), film actors Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi, and Srini Raju of iLabs, among others.
Technology Adoption & New Implementation

Technology adopted to new implementation: Olympia pioneered key engineering shifts, transitioning from aluminium to high-grade stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and longevity, and moving from traditional halogen to energy-efficient, high-output LED luminaires. This era marked the integration of the latest technology in swimming pools and advanced exterior lighting systems.
30,000+ Installations & Global Reach

To date, Olympia's lighting solutions have been installed in over 30,000 swimming pools and landscape projects across India — from Kashmir to Kanyakumari — as well as in premium properties such as Four Seasons, Westin, Sheraton, Hyatt, Hilton, Novotel, Alila (Goa/Coorg), Orange County Resorts, Kumarakom Lake Resort, and GRT Temple Bay. Olympia Pools has completed more than 1,200 swimming pools and water bodies, and is currently executing around 350 projects across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh. Products are CE and RoHS certified, IP68 rated (waterproof up to 3 metres), and manufactured using marine-grade SS316L stainless steel. A strategic export tie-up with a leading pool builder from Spain supports expansion to Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
